Definitions:
Agriculture Any private property zoned as agriculture.
Residential Non Agriculture All other private property.
Open Burning Season March 30 and May 30 and between September 15 and October 30
Closed Burning Season June 1st to October 31st
Agriculture Fenceline or Ditch/Canal - Burning allowed with notification to your nearest Fire Department NO permit required, DAQ air quality R307-202-7 rule for smoke management does NOT apply. (Failure to do so is a Class B Misdemeanor)
Agriculture Other NOT Fenceline or Ditch/Canal - Permit required, must follow DAQ air quality R307-202-7 rule for smoke management. (Failure to do so is a Class B Misdemeanor)
Residential Non Agriculture Yard waste (tree limbs-tree trunks-shrubs) – Permit required, must follow DAQ air quality R307-202-7 rule for smoke management. (Failure to do so is a Class B Misdemeanor)
Campfire - Recreational camping/warming fires or cooking fires- No permit required. Always contact your local fire authority for updated fire weather conditions that can change campfire restrictions.
Burning not permitted - Trash, Oil, Tires, Wooden Pallets, or the use of Burn Barrels
